I was lucky enough to be able to sample both, and chose the quick connect

However, I honestly think this is a little along lines of blondes vs brunettes

I like the post--seems lower profile and I never detach the things anyway. Haven't tried the QD though.

I'm using the standard posts as well. No need for the quick disconnect IMHO. When I arrive at the track, I connect my HANS to my helmet, and it stays connected until I pack up to go home.

Also, make sure you get the sliding tether. Much more important than post vs qd.

I used both and like the posts MUCH better. I think the posts are quicker and easier and dont have red straps hanging down the side of your head.

So I'll expand on my reasons for the quick click. I have a recaro pro racer Hans seat. I like the ability to quickly disconnect the Hans as I come off the track and enter busy paddock areas. I can then move/swivel my head, and see easier around the seat wings, while transitioning through busy areas. I can also leave my pit area and transition to the staging area with the straps off, then quickly connect them when staging before re-entering the track. Ive found this to be a benefit to me. Could you do the same with the posts, sure. i just think It's easier with the quick connects.

I'd agree that the sliding tethers are a must. I never even notice the straps that hang down.

I use post, but it's because I share a HANS with another guy and that's what he bought.

Post here, but that was the only option when I got mine. So far no trouble with it and I can disconnect it with relative ease when needed. As others said the sliding tether is the way to go.

quick disconnect for me I like it. just make sure you put the velcro on the helmet for the orange straps. also mount them on a angle so when you pull down its in sync with the latch

and the tether is a must IMO

I use post anchors, but bought a set of quick release. Haven't gotten around to upgrading them. Will probably put a set on the wife's helmet as she doesn't like the post anchors. I'll probably keep the posts for myself, though.
