EBAY has an OEM hard top with scratches for buy it now price of $800. Pick ups only though.

if there's a bar or cage in the car, is there a safety benefit for having a hard-top vs. keeping the soft-top closed on track? (not racing)

i heard the hard-top doesnt have much structural integrity to absorb impact or force?

does it help aerodynamics?

Good luck finding a proper roll bar that also fits under the soft top...apparently it's not so simple. Full cage? Forget about it. For the track...the main benefit of getting a hardtop has nothing to do with weight, structural integrity, etc. A hardtop simply allows the room necessary for a proper roll bar or full cage for racing (along with the soft top removal, etc, etc).

I would imagine that the hard top would have some aerodynamic benefit when coupled with a functional wing.

I'm pretty sure the hardtop interior clearance is quite a bit greater than the softop in the aft portions. Not to mention that losing the softop provides all kinds of space for proper rear bracing, etc.

I've never favored the concept of a roll-bar smushed in between the factory roll hoops & seats
