[QUOTE=PedalFaster,Feb 2 2010, 07:06 PM] Yep, good argument for a halo seat and/or a right-side net.

There were a lot of off-tracks at that corner on Sunday.

A white AP2 in the same Blue run group (one session earlier) appeared to almost roll after going off-track at the exact same place. I was two cars back, it was pretty scary to watch; it appeared to get up on two wheels in the mud momentarily.

I have (pretty shaky) video if anyone's curious.

Makes me rethink safety equipment. They have to put up with a LOT of stress and G's to protect you. Not something you want to skimp on.

^^^S2K Dude, I've got a Miata trans and tons of parts if you're interested, PM me

You can get used Miata transmissions from junkyards all day long for $200 - $300.

Doesn't matter if the top was aftermarket or OEM -- neither is designed to protect from that kind of impact.

How amazing he never lets go of the wheel the entire way through.

The scariest thought to me about a convertible is letting you arm get above the windshield during a roll.

A guy at work's wife had her arm "degloved" when it was dangling out the window in a Ford Explorer rollover. They had to amputate it.
