Default Harry's LapTimer GP

So I just bought Harry's GP (upgraded from Petrol) and am trying to setup car info:

AP1 gear ratios, I have the ratios and final drive, but speed is WAY off, I am thinking it is because of secondary gear reduction, but how do I account for that?

Hp/trq, I have a dyno, but I think it wants crank hp. Do I mess with the crank hp/trq until the % reduction makes hp match my dyno? Does this setting even matter?

I am am sure I will have more questions, hopefully it was worth the extra $10, I really just want to take advantage of my new OBD2 dongle

I had the same issues with the gear ratios, and also noticed when doing a video that shows the gear ratios it is off by 1 (when I am in 4th, it shows I am in 3rd). For HP/Torque I just did 15% more for crank and put that in there... this setting from what I can tell just shows you what HP you are using in the videos. So far not sure the ODB data adds much, other than its kinda cool to see the gauges on the video. Here's one I uploaded from this past weekend:

I think it has to be the secondary reduction? It has a dyno feature that I wanted to check out. Not sure how accurate it will be but gear ratios need to be correct. Stinks it is off by a gear, I noticed mine kept putting it in the wrong spot

I probably defined something incorrectly, but even after researching it on the HLT Forum, couldn't figure out what was wrong. Also it says my top speed is 200+ MPH, which is obviously wrong (I'm hitting the rev limiter at ~160 MPH in 6th gear). They do allow you to import default information from Edmunds.com, but using that also did not correct my gear indication issue for me.

Just watched your vid, it seems pretty neat. Do you think the hp reading is accurate enough to be somewhat useful? Say you made a change would the hp reading reflect the change or does this program just estimate based on what you put as max hp at x rpm?

I am not sure, but I would assume its fairly accurate, as long as the data you input is accurate. My guess its just calculating based on % of throttle being used and what RPM you are at, from what I can tell it should be correct for my car (404 rwhp @ 8500 RPM).

Ok, yeah after more reading online it seems the time to speed testing might be a bit more useful for measuring change. If you used the same road in similar conditions it may tell you something I suppose.

Multiply the final drive by the gear reduction factor (4.1 x 1.16). For AP1 I have 4.75 in my harry's for final drive and it works as expected.

That fixed it! Thanks ndogg and warmmilk, the gear selection is now showing correctly!
