Some mid pack H4 guy driving a CRX decided to outbrake him and punted hime off the track at turn one.

Will spun to the inside and went over the tire wall at one of the flag stations.

The car was completely airborne with the hood about level with the flagger.

Luckily he was ok and was able to drive back to the pits.

Pretty lame in my opinion. The only thing he got was a DQ. Big deal. Will has to repair his expensive race car.

No, he didn't roll.

Just got punted off and went over the tire wall.

He ended up getting stuck and when I came around, I saw his car with all 4 wheels off the ground.

I think the guy who ran him off the road should pay for it?

Unless there's a rule that says so then I'm guessing it's completely voluntary if the punter wants to pay for the damage to the puntee's car. From the sound of it, he's not inclined to do so?

As in more recent "attacks" in hockey, can you file criminal charges? Intent to injure, intent to destroy property...? Guys like that should be in jail.

Holy Shit!

Thats one bent lower A-Arm.

That wheel must of been pointing at a rather odd angle.

Do you need us to break any knee caps?

any pics of the S2000 race cars from the west coast?

as for on course contact - the old rule.... don't race if you can't afford to walk away from your car with nothing. Sucks, but that is part of racing.

Luckily the only real damage that has happened on the east coast was from the mess at Mid-ohio which was mostly due to KIWI (the west coast guy) smacking the back corner of Kevin Helms, who then got hit by 2 more people while he was in the tire wall.

I stole these pics off of someones link from honda-tech.

there didn't look like there were many people at that race.... could that area be any flatter?

how did the Evo do for laptimes? Looks like he went off so i doubt he did well in the race.
