@Tvotaw84 pointed this out to me today... here is hoping they get it back open soon! We all thought it was a goner for sure.

Get ready to pay $$$$

After Singer acquired WSIR (Willow Springs International Raceway) - a total of 4 different tracks at one location (Big Willow, Streets of Willow, Horseshoe Thief, and a karting & drift pad) they made some renovations/updates that are debatable. The other BIG BIG BIG change is that track day entrances for SOWS went from $180 to $340.

Will have to see, but all the costs have been going up everywhere so I expect it. I already pay $300/day for events at OIR and nearly that much for Hedge Hollow so expect Heartland to end up in that range as well. It was cheaper than the others around us before but it was only a matter of time

Ya unfortunately inflation is everywhere. I remember weekends at the local track were ~$400 a good ~10 yrs ago. They're now ~$600. I'm on the East Coast.

SCCA Track night events are good at bringing the costs down but they have to find tracks they can work with to do so. Those are usually about $165 per event. You get 3 20 minute sessions where as a full track day typically gets you 4 and maybe 5 but still a good bargain. But, if the track costs too much in general they will never run there as they work to get a discounted rate to keep costs down. Will be interesting to see if they can get back into Heartland if the road course gets opened back up. NASA will run there again if they reopen Im sure.

Also just heard that SCCA Track Night in America is going to run at Hedge Hollow this year in Adrian MO. Kind of surprised they were able to get the owner down to a reasonable price to do TNIA there. But if close enough and doing the SCCA events it is a fun track. We have a NASA event Sat/Sun there that same weekend so not sure I will make the TNIA event on Friday night.

All evidence is still pointing to the Heartland Road Course coming back so we are still hopeful there! And the local regions are trying to see if they are repaving the large pad so autocross can start happening there again. Would be excellent for sure. MCC is ok in KC area but the large lot at Heartland, especially once repaved is a thousand times better.
