Default HELP! BSK came w/ wrong hardware

My race-version BSK is supposed to be installed tonight, but the bolts for the car-end of the rod are too short. They need to be 5-10mm longer to get full thread engagement. Also, the nuts are awefully thin (only 5 threads deep). Also, the washer is only 27mm o.d. as opposed to 33mm for the stock washer. Did someone grab the wrong hardware or is this really how it's supposed to be?

The tapered "ball joint" and/or nut has stripped at ~40ftlbs before the ball joint seated into the knuckle. It won't tighten or loosen.

Doesn't sound right. Call or email Tony. The nut on the car-end on mine looks about 5/8" thick, and the bolt is well through it.

Is the whole thing turning, or is the nut turning on the rod without effect?

If you aren't using two wrenches, then most likely what is happening is that the whole rod is turning (not that the threads are stripped). IIRC, I just put a wrench on the nut on the bottom and kept that from happening.

If you are doing that already, then you have a bigger issue.

I'd bet Tony is using just one wrench. I've seen him change pads and rotors.

Umm... my car is 30 miles away. I know better than to try this on my own. I'll call the tech and ask him.

The nut is spinning on the rod. He used 2 wrenches. The left side went in fine, but the right side is not.

The bolt is 1.5 threads below full engagement.

Yup, sounds like a problem. Sorry to hear it.
