I went back and re-did my most recent search "Cusco roll bar install" and now that result pops up as the 3rd result (with this thread being first)

I guess it gained some search credits by a few of us hitting it recently.

All I can do is promise that I did actually search myself before posting this thread

Running in the SCCA vs. needing an SCCA approved roll bar are two different things.

Skip, did you know that SCCA SOLO (autocross) requires roll bars that conform to the same standards?

Last I checked there were quite a few SCCA autocrossers here. It's really your only choice if you want to avoid getting bumped out of class for your autocross / track dual purpose vehicle.
For SCCA Solo, a bar is only required in Prepared or modified classes. I believe the large majority of SCCA autocrossers on this site run Stock, STR or possibly Street Prepared. It is recommended for all classes, but most people aren't willing to cut up the interior or take the weight penalty.

Yes, but for the people who do autocross and track... if you're going to get a bar, it's the only option.

What class does a stock S2000 run in with a Hard Dog? Stock.
What class does a stock S2000 run in with a Cusco? Not stock.
