hks superchager kit
Just want to point that out. For some reason people think because a car doesn't blow up in 2-3 laps means it is more than fine running for extended periods of time.

Talk to Evasive Motorsports. They've had great success tracking this kit and are building another race car using this kit.

This... Most time attack cars can't run a full 20 minute session at 10/10ths - they'll over heat long before that.
TA cars are exactly that - set the fastest lap possible, then cool it off for 2 laps and either try to make another hot run of 2 laps or bring it into the pits.
While you're out lapping are you not trying to improve your times or does racing only count when against a physical opponent, not the clock? I don't see the logic in your statement. Either way, racing or not, Evasive would have more information regarding the kit in question as they have the most experience with it than anyone else active on this forum.

I agree with Sebring AP1 though.
In a Time Attack environment, the best lap is what matters, that typically is achieved when there are no obstacles. In a wheel to wheel race, it is difficult for one to have the ideal line at all times to smash lap time records as there may be other cars on track blocking the ideal lines, and even if one is the fastest, but have a mechanical break-down, they do not finish, there fore cannot win.
guys ....evasive is a very respectable shop building their shop cars with racecar drivers behind the wheel
knowing how to treat a special car or even they tune and rebuilt the engine whenever they feel like
without any of us know!
beside that what i want is to have feedback from trackday or racing people who have the car 1out
for 2-5 20min. session and then drive home....this is reliable for me!
is there anyone doing this kind of use?
having a car that can perform for one-two laps is easy..... having "almost" stock reliability
is what this kit is about and advertized...... and i am asking if that is true!....

Interested in the same question. Also think first hand accounts from racers and actual users are useful in conjunction with advice given by shops.
Related question to previous post, is it a given that such a kit would cause overheating or worse without additional cooling?
And with installing oil coolers and better radiators, isn't it pretty much mandatory to alsoat least have gauges to check temps, or even a ECU that can log temp or other logging device?
I'm just asking because having this extra kit in my dual use road car kind of puts me off the purcahse of such a kit. Don't want to run it without proper support mods for cooling, but also don't want a bunch of extra crap in my cabin for when I'm not on the track. Sorry for the thread hijack
If this has been discussed elsewhere let me know
