Default How much tire life on Star Specs?

My current set have about 7000 miles on it. I have done 2 track days and about 30 autox events. Reat camber is at 2.5 neg degrees on stock suspensions and ap1 wheels. I'm hope to do 5 mote autox events and 2 track days with about 1000 more miles. Will i make it?

Technically they are done now, but you could probably get one more track day on them before they start to cord the insides. Problem is they are borderline unsafe to track for my comfort level. Not a lot of rubber left to handle the high heat, could potentially fail under duress depending on track and how you push them.

Those are done. You don't want to push your tire life until they cord. The little money you would save trying to get more life out of those can potentially cost you much more. Driving on tires like that in the street is also very dangerous. They will hydroplane easily. Just get a new set and have piece of mind.

Agreed on everything, especially the bolded. Get new tires ASAP. You don't want to find out the hard way if your tires can "make it."

There is a great deal 9$300) on a set of lightly used RE11A 255's on SCCAforums if you are trying to cut some corners on cost.

AutoX is only about 5 mile drive each way for me. I need to plan out what events I really want to due before the winter months hit to determine if I want to get new wheels and tires this or next season. I have a truck for DD.

Sometimes Autox tires cycle out before they cord, though.
