How to piss off the people in this forum

1) Please don't read the FAQs. Likewise, don't use the "search this forum" field at the bottom of the page.
2) Please start out your post with the phrase, "So I was making this high speed run on the freeway and..."
3) Next best method is to say "I haven't done any track days yet but I'm planning do do some in the future. In the meantime, I was making this high speed run on the freeway and..." We aren't quite that stupid. Close, but not quite.
4) Please ask us how to mount the harnesses you bought off of eBay.
5) Please ask us how to tune your suspension so it will still be streetable.
6) Please ask us which track brake pads produce the least dust and noise, or at least ask us which big brake kits we prefer. For bonus points, spell it "break".
7) And the best method of all: if you do get an answer, please be sure to argue about it because it wasn't the answer you were hoping to get. After all, that's why you came in here, right? To have people tell you to go ahead and do what you were already planning to do?
If you want to take your chances on not pissing us off, you could always go to a track or autoX school first (your bone stock S2000 is OK for this), and then come in asking questions about what happened. Or you could even read one of the many good books about these subjects, like Going Faster or Speed Secrets.

Remember the title of the forum, Racing and Competition.
I know, let's blame the Mod,
LudeDude.

This forum should be accommodating to people that are interested in racing and competing with the S2000 as well as those that are already there.

True, the R&C FAQ sucks. The PacNW forum has had an excellent one for years -- cthree, can you add a link to it?

By the way, I want to lower my car for a more aggressive look, but don't want to ruin the handling. What JDM coils will give me the best street/track performance?

Still, the entitlement mentality of these forums pisses me off from time to time.
You forgot one...
8) Post an f-off all you noobs you aren't welcome here thread and have a prima-donna admin sticky it for you rather than update the FAQ to make it useful.
Read the FAQ? What a joke. Everyone wants to take the time to complain and nobody wants to take the time to do anything about it. Why should I link to a thread in another forum? This forum is moderated by two full blown admins (not including me). I don't moderate this forum, I read it now and then but I spend all my time in the Money and Investing forum where we do maintain a very good FAQ. Seven years have gone by since this forum was started and this thread is the best FAQ you guys can muster up?
For shame

Oh come on, you've spent enuf time calling the idiots idiots in here as the rest of us. It's nothing about being a noob. Its about the people who ask street car questions, don't get the answer they want and then proceed to argue w/ the people who are trying to help. You're perfectly aware of the problem and have also complained to me many times about it.
This forum has been plenty nice to new people. It's the people have no intention of competing or improving their driving, they just want affirmation that their latest purchase is cool.
There are over a hundred forums on this site. This one, for the most part is as titled about racing a competition w/ some off topic among friends.

I would be willing to help compile an updated R&C FAQ. I have quite a bit of experience with brake pad and tire choices, as well as experience on weight reduction, as most of you know. Me, ckit, cthree, and krazik could probably come up with something a lot better and more current than what we have right now.
