So if i were to install this wheel how do you think it would feel? It's quite a bit smaller than I had expected. It feels great in the hand but seems more suited to a tiny F-car cockpit. I'm undecided but need to make some sort of plan.
That could work, but it's getting borderline too small for the track.
On the track you shouldn't ever have to move your hands on the wheel with the S2000, and it'll be great. Until you mess up - at which point you might find yourself in flailing countersteer, and grabbing for wheel but instead finding air. That's where I'd worry about it biting you. The S2000 rewards slow and careful hand movement; the tighter radius of the wheel will make it that much more of a challenge to drive well.
The main reason i went to a smaller diameter wheel (270mm) is because I'm a big fat 260 lb mofo who can't move his legs without jamming them on the bottom of the wheel. It forces me to drive "spread eagle" and makes heel-toe impossible.
This wheel certainly solves that problem which is great but I'm not sure what it will do to both mechanical leverage and as jzr says finesse. i never touch the top of the wheel except when I'm cruising the elementary schools for chicks
If I get out of sorts my natural reaction tends toward dropping the left hand off the wheel and going solo with the right. Probably not the best way but alas the way.
