Default How are we doing in A stock?

Hi guys. I've been out of the autocrossing this year due to a heavy work load. Just wondering how we are doing in A Stock? Also, how are the older cars doing against the '04-'05s? Has anyone moved to the prepared classes? I know it is still early in the season, but I miss the action.

Thanks for your thoughts and comments.

Bill

Here in Phoenix, A stock is mostly MY 00 - 03 S2000's so we're doing great.

Local or Tours? I think the S2000 is still doing well at Tours though I do believe a C4 won out west. I'm also a bit interested in the car's continued competitiveness, it's been fine locally for me as an S2000 has won every event I've been to, but most of the events have not yet included (many) national drivers.

Oddly an STI has gotten 2nd at two events and an M3 at another - again, just local though.

McHugh is the man out west. Of course he's the defending A Stock National Champ. Joe Goeke ran an S2000 early in the year but he's bagged it and bought an RX-8.

I'll be rolling mine out for action here shortly. I hope to be a thorn in McHugh's side, but we'll see how it really goes. I'm hoping to get some tires before Bremerton Tour. Not much available right now.

Locally (FLR), it's a battle between the Plastic Pachyderms and the Torqeless Wonders. The Evos, STis, and M3s have so far not been competitive. Even I (the slowest regular S2000) have been able to hold them off. We haven't had any 04+ S2000s join us with any regularity so I have no idea how they would do. Locally, the C4 is the car to beat, he's the defending AS champion and the man can DRIVE!

Hey Bill,

Are you coming to the Devins Tour? It's in your backyard isn't it?

Since Aaron got race rubber in his new vett I can't win stock or pax titles even after driving the wheels off it. Will be at Seneca Army Depot in August to see the Finger Lake gang.

One of my buddies here mentioned that to me. I haven't even bothered to check the dates because my work schedule is so bad this year. Are you going?
