I need a helmet
I need a helmet, Snell 2005, full face so it can be used when riding a bike, and I would prefer black. I really don't want to spend more than $200. What is out there?
Not sure where in the UMW you are, but if you're near barrington stop by northstar motorsports (.com). That's where I picked up my helmet. Spent $300 - worth it since I try to use it every weekend. You'll want to try on a helmet before you buy, but not necessary.

I had copied an article from grass roots motorsports about sub $300 helmets.

Wal-Mart $69
Seriously, go to a motorcycle shop/dealer. They will have many to choose from and many in your price range. You can try them on, find one that fits and looks good and take it home with you.

You can check out ebay it pretty cheap on there.
If you are not in a hurry, and are careful, deals can be had. I bought a Shoei RF800 about 5 years ago for $85 shipped. It was brand new in the box. Apparently nobody wanted an XL in yellow.

You can get a pyrotech (bell) helmet here for $138, similar to the one I use.

Pyrotect is clearing out their M2000 helmets on ebay right now. I just picked up a full face for 85 shipped. Most the tracks around here are cool with Snell 95+ so I didn't dish out for a 300+ dollar SA2005 yet.
I don't see the point in buying a M2005 for 40% more when the M2000 is good for another 5 years at which point you'll want to buy a new/better helmet anyways.
