I'm still looking for a set of stock shocks to send to the builder out in California. I hope to have something going by next week. But as soon as he gets the stock ones he says it will be around 3 weeks until we get the Penskes. At which time I'll have lots of pictures and a nice review. Stay tuned!

Jason, I'm sold on the Penske shocks. If it helps you to negotiate a better price for two car sets rather than one, I will put my order in also. I'd like to have shocks for the ProSolo in Florida, Feb 17.

What kind of damping rates do you specify. Do you change the front / rear balance as compared to the stock setup? Is there an accepted strategy with this car or is it still in the trial and error phase?

Ok Randy, I'll talk to the builder on Monday and post some information. We're going to Florida and Meridian also, so no worries... we'll have shocks in time.
And Cdelena... The valving is going to be specified by Guy Ankeny who is building the shocks. He basically builds dampening curves that are very linear. He's going to do something with low-speed compression in the front to help with keeping the rear inside from unloading. All the other curves will be fairly linear. That way, over bumps the suspension is compliant, but when you throw it into a slalom and the piston speeds increase they get really stiff. He's one of the most respected shock builders in the autocross community. He's getting allot of input from Jason Keeney and I have given him some of Ron's observations on the car's dynamics and that's the info he's basing his valving from. They should be excellent!

Guy is building a front sway bar for the S2000 also. He runs autoX here in San Diego and consistantly runs near the top. He knows Solo2. With all his interest in S2000 parts I wonder if he'll buy one?

They are the double adjustable ones. A good and significant investment indeed if you intend to race at the national level.
