What elevation are you at? I am over in Salt Lake City, Utah at 4500 ft. I attached my K24 swap Dynojet Dyno. I ran DC DIC cams as well, with KMIATA Intake Manifold, 1320 header with a custom ASP megaphone, and 3" exhaust, 70mm Skunk2 throttle body, and I purposely ran a smaller intake tube similar to your K&N FIPK to choke the top end. I have talked to other K Swapped vehicle owners - Miata, and FRS who opted for the same cams at sea level they were both around 228-230 HP. I was right on the money for what I needed for TT5, my car is fully gutted with 180 lbs of ballast. I was able to get 50% Left, 50% Rear and 50% crossweight on the car with the added ballast. Pretty neat.
I am at 5200 ft of elevation although I don't think that matters with the correction factor. It could simply be down to a heartbreak dyno. I do think the oem header collector being narrowed down to 2.25 I. D. is what really prevents me from making the same power as the kpi swap stuff (I believe the miata and frs header collector is near 3 inches iirc). A local competitor who had a k swap 86 was only a few hp more than I was though. Not a big concern as most of the people I compete against end up going to this dyno and we build our cars around the power we put down there.
I recently did this from Hasport to OEM style Kswap kit. The factroy OEM mount on the passenger side leaked, tore open and apart basically not even connected anymore. So I replaced that one with Megan Racing Full Rubber replacements Vs the HONDA OEM Hydraulic filled engine mount.
But after about 2-3K miles or so of hard driving, I'm noticing also maybe coincidentally as colder weather is upon us in the North east, the Vibrations are getting worse, and have a particular rev range / gear where it is felt..
I'll be lift checking it to see if anything is wrong, loose, or torn. But I just figured I'd ask if anyone else is getting more vibrations, that are RPM and Gear variable, and more in the colder weather with these Megan mounts or any other Solid mounts for Kswaps.. Thnaks.
I run hasport all around, I could look up the type of mount hardness. U70A is what I have. That said, I know that ASM has gone back to using OEM engine mounts + https://www.shopasmotorsports.com/rb...mount-adapters
I believe Andy runs this now on multiple cars, track focused and street. Give them a buzz.
As for the lift check just did that today. Nothing lose, all paint marked bolts are on the money. No tears at the mounts unlike I've experienced with OEM Hydraulic fluid filled mounts.
Checked the Driveshaft bolts for same, all good.
It's just weird it's on hard throttle 4500-5500 or so in 4th gear and maybe a bit in 3rd too. (Violent vibes that feel like I'm hearing the induction noise of the engine in rhythm / rubbing).
I have not checked trans mounts, or diff mounts. So I will next.
Interesting, have you checked your TCT or VTEC Solenoid ? I ask that due to where its happening in the rev range. Which motor is it again ? Did you have the motor refreshed before putting it in? Or did you just send it ?
