Koni install....
Steve, I am sure we will talk more about it at the event, but do you think I should run them slightly off of full stiff then? Not sure how far off you would have to turn them to make sure they don't blow more quickly.

Personally, I would run them with what ever setting works best and not worry about blowing them. Similar to launching the car, you can either give up time and do a soft start or launch hard, go for a low time, and deal with the eventual parts breakage issues.
Don't they have a lifetime warranty anyway?

Hunh, I never saw that warning. Oh well. That's pretty lame that they wouldn't design the shock to be allowed to run full adjustment. How hard could it be to not thread the adjustment rod as far or something as simple?
Anyway, I'm still shocked (no pun intended) that you couldn't feel the car push more on left hand turns than on right hand turns. It must not have been that bad if you couldn't feel it. I had a spring spacer in the right rear and even before I knew about the whole spring spacer deal, I could clearly tell the car oversteered more when taking left turns than right.

Yeah, I am going with Matt on this one, the "instructions" are pretty awful. Not that installing shocks is all that difficult though.
About me not noticing the problem, I am about the least sensitive driver to things like that, I have always just jumped in and driven the cars. When the Avards bought my STS Civic at the end of the 2004 season after I finished 4th at Nationals. They called me after they had run a few events to ask if I had changed anything. They said the car turned right really well but wouldn't turn left at all. I never noticed that...so who knows, I just drive the things.
I am not sure if the spring spacer was always like how it was when I pulled it of, but only 3 of the 4 springs clips, if you want to call them that, were on the spring.
Oh, and I think they do have a lifetime warranty, Steve.

But hey, lots of slower people than me and Jason will suggest that you run it soft in the rear.

) Jason's theory is interesting 'though and makes some sense. I'll have to try that.
I've also heard that Konis shouldn't be run at the maximum adjustment in either direction. I usually run 1/4 turn from max. (or min)
