Laguna Updates?
Qual on friday was in the wet...
Bobcat and the 165HP RX7 and Krazik Qual'd on 1st row.
PacNWers in their P-cars were slow in the rain
There were some gorgeous early RSRs, and a very sexy 997 Cup car
We took first for points in Saturday's ITE race - Krazik #8. We are running dead consistent 1:375XX...I think there are atleast 2 secs left in the car...overhaul this winter will be very specific.
Derek Steven's of Hondata fame made a cameo in the K20 EG. Impressive times, handed people their ass NA...again. He hasn't had the car outin a while...he got meatballed for being a mere 0.2dB over for sound limit <lame>
Daryl showed up in the Griggs Mustang again. That car is so fast in the dry...he came in early from mis-reading a flag signal from a corner-worker during race 2. They should be a menace next season...
Sunday, there were a few P-cars (not the gypsy 928s) that had OTEs. ...parked in the hairpin sand trap a la Gran Turismo (BRAKE FADE!!!!)
Krazik's shifter popped out of gear at the start (time for an AP2 replacement) and cost us the lead off the initial start. Eventually he caught up and passed Kibort. Mr. Kibort wasn't giving it up easy, but we put about 15 car lengths in between 1st and 2nd place...until the full course yellow.
Standing yellow, pace car, traffic, green flag drops, Kibort gets by us.
We don't catch him, he takes 1st place.
Hey winning is winning, we got 2nd place.
So, as far as points are concerned for ITE, Kibort is 2 points ahead of us.
The next race is the Graind Finale double points event at Thunderhill.
If he wins he takes 1st overall with a 6 pt victory.
If we win overall, we do it with a 2 pt victory.
Wardlow threw in the towel after the last event, so we are really battling this out with Mr. Kibort in the 24 year old P-Car. I met Mr. Kibort Sr. after the 2nd race was over, and he chronicled his son's 15 years of wild man racing.
But, it's Thunderhill, the track has momentum, and more importantly it's Rylan's home track, this was where the Tigger was born, back in the early Speedventures days.
So Mr. Kibort, please bring your A-game, because we will be there waiting for you.
