Does anyone know the approximate dimensions of the XT racing Ultralap display?

It's about the size of a credit card... slightly smaller.

The ultra lap comes with velcro. I placed mine on the radio door.

I use a RaceLogic Performancebox.

Using a Robic, our lap times are typically very close unless there is a lot of cover or such. If both the stopwatch operator and the GPS are functioning correctly, we rarely see much more than a tenth of a second difference.

The issue is, most people do not understand how to use a stopwatch. They start the clock and go walk around and lose sight of their focal point, and then insert all sorts of error into the equation.

The good thing about the Pbox is, the software is free so anyone can view your data, and you can save all your start/finish lines on the SD card so all you have to do is "Load splits" and you are ready to go. If everyone uses the same start/finish, it is very accurate.

Plus, it is only $500 and all it needs is an SD card and a cigarette lighter port.

Here is the software.

Here is a link to a few of my runs that you can view using the software.

What size cable do you recommend I get? Where do you guys normally put the receiver? They have anything from 2 to 10 ft. I was thinking 8 ft in case I want to put the receiver on the rear bumper? Thanks.

I went with the longest cable they offered so that I would have options. I ended up placing the transmitter under the driver's side mirror (with the provided velcro). I then run the cable from there, over the steering column, and to the display on the radio door. Works nicely. I just zip-tied up the extra cable and taped it under the dash.

If you click the gallery link in my signature, you can see it mounted under the driver's side mirror in some of the photos.
