Thumbs up Lapping tomorrow, need advice :D

searched and nothing came up

Hi All,

I'm going lapping tomorrow and I recently installed some new suspensions. I also got the suspension geometry tweaked as well so the roll center is more or less around the same area. I don't have the specs on me sorry. I'm still learning as we go so bare with me!

Question: What dampening setting do you all recommend?

On my coilovers it can go from:

1 -----------2------------------3--------------->4
(soft)............................................ .........(stiff)
(0% soft)............................................. ..(100% stiff)
I just used numbers for ease of explanation.

Right now I have them as:

Front: Setting 3
Rear: Setting 2

I'm also running a staggered setup.

Any advice on tire pressure as well?

Edit: the track i'm going to is not the smoothest one out there. I want to make sure my suspensions have enough travel through the turns.

Thanks in advance!

Start soft and go from there this is going to vary wildly. Or start stiff and work backwards if you end up spinning out a bunch depends how you want to approach it.

Tire pressure will depend on the tire as well.

^bingo x 2... start soft then progress. I typically run my PSS9s at full stiff front and about 65-75% of that rear.

For tire pressures, I start at ~32front/30rear cold and bleed down to 38psi hot.
