Like I said in my post, that was just my $.02. I could very well be wrong, but that's the impression that I got. I have seen a lot of people drive and have raced myself for a few years. I tend to be a good judge of ability when driving is concerned. Compared to the lap of Nurburgring that's in here somewhere, it doesn't compare. If you haven't seen it already, I really encourage you to dig up the thread of the lap at N-ring. Do a search on 1 lap of Nurburgring and you should be able to find it. Let me know what you think.
Peace.

If you have Grand Prix Legends for the PC, you can drive the track yourself. Someone out there made an add-on track of the circuit. Go to hotgrids.racesimcentral.com for an exhaustive set of GPL links.

I have driven on that track, and yes, it is spectacular.

AFAIK, its one of those North American gems. Thank heavens the Canadian distributer for Tommy Hillfiger bought it a couple years ago, it was about to become a golf course.

I cant wait to get back up there. The community hates it though because of the noise.

yeah, I thought he did a pretty good lap also. On that corner where he caught himself, a car put a wheel on the inside grass, got stuck in a rut and flipped one of the times I was there.

Its been a few years since my last visit. Seeing that vid really brings back how vertical this track is. Personally, I have never experienced anything like coming off that first hill in a car (the vid actually starts well before the start/finish line). Nice right hander smack at the bottom keeps life interesting. The carosel turn is the one that, on the vid, appears to go on forever right before the long back straight (210ish km/h in Type R). There used to be a big bump in it if you were off line at all. Would send you sailing! It has been cleaned up I see. In fact, it looks like they have done a great job on the whole track. It used to be pretty rough. Some of the lines have changed a fair bit I think.

Me thinks its time for me to go see my parents, who have a house less then 2 minutes away from the track...hurry up spring.

And about the "jerkoff" comments. When was the last time you saved a great race track from becoming a golf course? I think that he had a good run, and I would rather see him saving tracks, enjoying his Ferraris and taking vids of the whole thing for us to enjoy, than you, master of the 1000HP keyboard, complaining about how someone who is actually out doing something does it.

bio,
believe me, I'm out there myself. Quite a bit actually.
As far as trying to save a track from becoming a golf course, Bridgehampton comes to mind.
Thanks for your concern though.
