Default Lower sitting rails/side mounts

Hi All,

As i've mentioned in another thread, I installed my Sparco Corsa recently. However, i ran into a huge problem...the sliders/mounts that came with it make the seat too high. It seems to sit a couple inches higher than stock at the lowest setting. That's bad for me because I'm 6'2 and now my head is literally less than an inch away from the soft top....no way i'm gonna be able to fit in there with a helmet.

I'm guess i'll need to replace the base mount, side mount, or both. Are there any recommendations for mounts that will make the seat sit at stock level...or maybe even lower?

thanks...

Sparco always sits high. I used the mugen rail and it brings the seat low and it a nice look. But the price is kind of high. You can also check out the buddy club side mount.

i took the padding out of my sparco rev seat just so I fit in my race car.... i have a buddy club slider.....

with my last race S2000 i banged out the stock metal boxes in the front then used side mounts and just bolted the seat in place... it was much lower and better than my current setup.

I have the same setup, but I use a 1" foam padding for the butt. The seat is at full low for the back mounts and one away from full low for the front mounts. I see very little of my hood with this setup and feel it is at a nice height. I can't imagine how low your old seat was Scot

FWIW, I am 5'10" with a 32" inseam.

On my race car the seat was directly mounted to Spoon consoles (no sliding)

but fo rmy street car I have tried the Bride and the taitec and both make the seat not low enought (with Recaro REV seat) so I pu tthe stock seats back in!

yeah i put my stock seat back in already cuz of how high the other seat is >.<

I'd like to avoid mounting the seat directly to the base cuz that'll make it a pain when it comes time to clean the car...which i do pretty often...

Are you saying that your Sparco setup is higher than OEM?

yes...it's Sparco Corsa + Cusco rails and side mounts. It sits much higher than OEM.

Taitec sliding seat rails from Science of speed is the way to go. Ask them if your seat will fit. I have heard that only Rev and recaro SPG fit for sure.
