Lowering springs = better performance?
After experiencing my first autocross yesterday, I noticed the car felt kind of soft. I also would like to lower it for looks but I don't want to compromise performance. So my question is, if I buy some lowering springs such as H&R, how will the handling change? I like the way the car handles, with the exception that the rear end feels a little floaty at speeds in excess of 60mph. If I got springs that were stiffer in the front than in the rear, how would this affect handling? I thought the car was very easy to control at the autocross so I don't want to make it more difficult to control at the limits (not that I'm good enough anyway to control it at the limit, but it would be nice to know that I'm not making it any more difficult.)
I would prefer to keep things simple with just getting springs right now instead of a coilover system. I don't want to hassle with coilovers till I feel very comfortable with the stock shocks. Who else besides H&R makes lowering springs?
Thanks,
