Default Maximum wing size allowed?

I know this does not have a definitive anwser, but just to get a ballpark idea. What is the maximum wing size (length & width) one can run on their S2000 when competing say...with SCCA, NASA, or even the FIA? I know different classes call for different wing sizes (or no wings at all), but just as a general rule of thumb. I have heard somewhere that a wing usually is "as wide as the widest part of the car", and as tall as the "roofline of the car". Does this fair up generally good?

Just curious and I need to settle a debate with a friend

This topic is just too broad to be answered... If you have a certain spec class you are referring to, then maybe someone can answer you.

I agree, it depends on what class you refer to.

I think for RTA, the wing must fit into approximately 1600mm x 350mm "box" and for certain classes must not exceed the highest part of the car, exception for hatchbacks.

Don't quote me tho...it might be easier to just search NASA/RTA/wtever class rules as these are all public info.

My noob 2 cents.

Don't worry about it. If you are thinking of getting a wing but you don't want to have to remove it or sell it because of rules if you do perhaps get into what ever form or motorsports... well, you're gonna spend a whole hell of a lot of money any way so it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme.

The stock CR wing should allow you to run in a few classes... But if you have a specific event/class that you want to run in, then just build to what the rules limit you to.
