Miles too much for turbo?
I have a 2006 Honda S2000 with 82,000 miles. It is in very good condition and clean title. I am wondering if it is too many miles for a turbo or not? Ive read S2000's can last a long time but wanted to hear it if it were turbo'ed with the proper tuning, no cutting corners, etc.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Back in January you posted you'd already done this. How's that working our? Second thoughts (regrets), different car, or ??? I'm seeing both 2005 and 2006 model years in your posts, same car? Wish I could afford more than one S2000.
"Too many miles" depends on what kind of miles. Driving like a kitten and rigorous preventive maintenance vs street racing have different effects on the engine and drive train. IMHO 25 year old cars with irreplaceable engines are poor candidates for forced induction especially for a daily driver. Turbocharging a car that wasn't designed for it requires major engine and possible engine bay surgery while supercharging is pretty much a weekend bolt on process. Both require tuning and a bucket full of money.
