Default Modifying OEM top hats

First of sorry if this has already been discussed but I havent found anything that clearly explains this.

I was thinking about picking up some JRZ RS pro in the near future and using OEM top hats. Problem is I sold them with my old KWv3 so am going to buy new ones from Majestic Honda but I have a couple of questions.

1. Do I need all the parts listed on the top hat/left side of the picture?
2. What will I be drilling out exactly? Just #1?
3. Do I need #3, #8, and #14?

Thanks in advance!

There's nothing wrong with the stockers... Lots of people with pimpy shocks run them.

Through a recent discussion with one of our other board members, top hat selection dictates the spring length. The OE top hats allow a 1" longer spring than the Science of Speed gold hats.

You need number 8 and you might have to drill it out as well as number 1 for the JRZ's depending on pin mount size.
Depending on pin mount length number three might be needed so the top nut doesn't run out of threads before the assembly is tight.

Number 14 is for the rear to help keep water from entering the trunk.
