My data logs show it being right around 170. It's stock gearing but I had the rev limiter at 8700 to preserve the motor. I think that's probably reasonably accurate.

The track was very high speed and on top of that there were 40+ mph winds. The way mine failed it looked like a lateral force is what caused the failure. I don't think the supports were well designed to withstand that kind of aero side loading. I made them even worse by installing spherical bearings to allow my active aero system to work so there was very little side support at all. There were 6 aero failures all on Saturday including 3 wings, 2 splitters, and supposedly a diffuser. Everyone who didn't have a failure added and x brace from the two wing brackets to support the wing laterally and that seemed to work. One of the wing failures was a wing literally snapping in half

On a totally unrelated note has anyone taken a good look at the track map for the lightning course

nice to know how it failed, hope you can come up something better and nicer to support the loads.

How was the wing mounted ? on the top of the trunk deck or chasiss ? carbon trunk ?

saw the video, looks like the wing was a great tool for grip, and really working well till the end ! lol... good driving at the end, did you feel the wing snapped ?

On the carbon trunk which is still fully intact. I didn't really know why it was oversteering so bad, I had changed a lot since the last time I was on track and it was my first session out there. I definitely knew something wasn't right. I'm not sure I would have come off the track if it weren't for being black flagged.
