Default Moton or Tein SRC

Hi guys i am using a set of Spoon Full Damper coilover Kit and my friend is using a set of Moton coilover kit which is double the price of
wht i am using now...and by watching the in car VDO in his car compare to mine is totally diff too...well i'm running staggered set up with 225 and 255
and he is running 245 all around and we both running same tyre brand as well.now i'm not sure is the Sus which is doing the good job of the tyre setup..
and i'm now thinking of changing a set of Tein SRC coilover but not sure whether i should go for Moton ...

below is the in car of us 2 in 2 diff car and 2 diff Sus and tyre set up...our time diff is 0.2 secs only

moton sus ,245/40/17 all around with 8.5" rims A050 front sway bar

Why not try 255 or 245 all around first? You don't seem to be doing too bad. I've driven on spoon dampers at the track and they had pretty good control.

I think once you install your 6ulr wheels and run 255 all round it will be closer.

You can almost never just bolt on new dampers and automatically go faster unless your previous setup was completely screwed up. And even if you could, there are much, much, much cheaper ways to find 0.2 seconds than spending thousands on high-end dampers.

Why not pay for an instructor for a day? For a few hundred bucks you'll probably find a lot more than 0.2 seconds, and that time will transfer to the next car you buy, unlike a new set of dampers.

pls check https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/165...-hall-of-fame/

and scroll down to "Eastern Creek" and "Wakefield Park" and "Winton"
and u will see what time i'm doing now...unless u say all other ppl slower than me is really shit driver..otherwise i think i had pretty much "ALMOST"max out my
Sus or wht my car can do..and my point is how come my friends incar VDO is that much of a diff compare to mine incar vdo in handling...and Spoon full spec damper have only 4 setting
not like the Motons and tein SRC which has 16 level of settings

1. The fact that you're the fastest of your pals around a random track says nothing about your level of skill. I used to follow a thread similar to the one you linked to for our local track. When I started road racing competitively, I learned that the "fast" times people were setting in their S2000s were about par for national-level Spec Miata drivers in cars with barely half the power of an S2000.

2. Even if you're as hot a driver as you think you are -- even Formula 1 drivers have driver coaches. Why do you think they benefit from coaching but you wouldn't?

i'm not saying coaching is meaningless just that i'm thinking if i change some set up on my car can improve more time cos i have been with the same time for quite awhile
so i was thinking whether i should change some setting to see whether i can further improve...no offence...
or maybe on the vdo compare to my frined he is a much smoother driver than i am..thats why he is doing good time ..instead of me blaiming on the diff sus
