MY04 autocross data point
Just want to share some autox info for the guys with 04-05 cars looking to improve their cars tuning.
I ran with
245/275 A2S04 combo
Alignment front
-1.5 camber
5.5 caster
1/4 in total toe out
Alignment rear
-2.0 camber
1/8 total toe in
Stock front sway bar
The temp was in the 50's, asphalt (KC Royals stadium parking lot). The tires had about %50 tread left. I started with 38F/36R for tire pressures and the rear was waaaay too loose. I ended up with 40F/34R at the end of my last run, and that made it a little more tame, but I could tell that I could not really pushing the car as hard and the rear tires were beginning to roll over.
I have the saner bar on now and I expect my next event to be much different.
Till next season!!

Looks like about 30 runs before I got them and now 34.

That is a lot of tire in the back. Did the tire sidewall bulge out a lot? I am thinking of running 225/45-17 and 255/40-17 victoracers but I am not sure.
I ran the 225/255 victo combo previously and it worked fine, but I wanted to use Hoosiers so I changed.
First off let me say that I'm not an autocrosser, but am curious why you would want to run 245s up front.
I'm also not familiar with the A2S04, but is a smaller tire width available in that model for the fronts like a 205? The tread width on a 205 Hoosier A3S04 is quite a bit wider than the tread width of a 215 on our stock tires and would keep your ratios closer to stock with 275s in the rear.
