These rules make little sense.

By TT4 calculations my car is 15.1:1 due to modifiers.
By TT5 calculations my car is 13.0:1 due to modifiers.

Hooray for consistency.

What do you have that makes it so far off.

My car with the new averages is 210. Can run 5 with Oem Aero and street tires at 2940. In TT4 with R comps it will be 2540 with the new modifiers.

By the avg calc my car was 202 last year @2920 competition weight so 14.45 base pwr/weight.

TT5:
BBK - 0.2
Piggyback shocks (TeinSRC) - 0.7
Double Wishbone -0.5

TT4:
I get BACK points for running a 255 RC1 or a 245 hankook Z214 +0.6

The modifiers in TT4 have changed. You probably wont be able to run the 255 RC1 since its over 245MM and probably over the new real tire width rule of 266MM. The only tires that get a savings are 200TW at .3. There is also no modifiers for tire width in TT4. your probably at 11.5 (2323#) for TT4 now unless your running A7's which would make you be 12.5(2525#).

You also need to take the A Arm hit in TT5 for -.7. The -.5 is for modified control arms. So you're going to be 15.4 (3111#) in 5 with the same deal on tires. Stock control arms 14.9 (3010#)

2020/202= 14.45

Piggy Backs = -.7
Double wishbone= -.7
BBK = -.2

This puts you at 12.85. You need to be at 3150lbs to make adjusted 14.0 with your power.

You are correct i got the modifier for the shock crossed up. Either way it illustrates my point that the rule progression doesnt make a lot of sense. where the same car is both hysterically out of class in TT5 and woefully under-prepped in TT4.

Exactly, in your car you would be a 202WHP avg 3150lbs S2000. An M3 could be that weight and make 30whp more and have a much better power curve and torque.

Yep looking at the new TT4 rules on page 14:
Tire Size: NASA Section Width 266mm or smaller (DOT - approved) Or any currently produced size 245 or smaller = +0.6
NASA Section Width 267mm to 282mm (DOT - approved) Or any currently produced size 275, 245 or smaller = +0.3
RC1's measure at around 10.4 which is 266mm though the site states 10.5 but either way i get points back for this tire. in TT4, while being perilously close to the edge in TT5. I dont see the printable template up yet or i would measure them. Ive got a garage full of them from S2K challenge.

If the RC1 was the only thing keeping me out i would run a Hankook Z214 in 245, its way faster and noticeably narrower.

My car is 2800 lbs comp weight with 1/3 tank of gas. I have 204 peak but only 189 avg hp basis the new formula.
stock brakes, 225 hoosier r7, ohlins, rear wing, and front splitter. Looks like all I need to do is remove the front splitter and add 3 lbs (yes only 3!). and I'm all set.
I am thinking I may do a hondata flashpro to lower vtec engagement and get some more midrange power and torque outside the measured area.

Also we were talking and basis the section width measurements online a 245 R7 should fall just below the 266mm measurement....someone needs grab one and a caliper to take an actual measurement.
