Default Neck side impact protection?

After seeing: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=763099
I don't want my head ragdolling around like that in my car if I roll.

Is it possible to put nets in a car with a harddog and stock dash etc? where would you anchor them?

I was going to get a Hans but now I'm thinking of getting another type or HNR with side protection, does anything to say about the R-3?

I'm wondering can you get in and out of a caged S2000 with this on?

Personally, I have a HANS and I will be installing a Right side net with my standard seat. I have been thinking about a full containment seat for a while. Maybe now is a good time.

I have a HANS, and I have right side netting in my race car. I won't put in a halo seat, since it would prevent me from getting out of my car in a hurry if the door won't open (and possible at all), because of the small available opening out the window, through the cage.

I don't think a net will contain prevent neck injuries because it's too far from the seat and too flexible. I think it's more to prevent your arm from getting crushed in a rollover.

IMO, the only solution for someone with a HANS is a halo seat. The racecar I bought had regular Recaro SPGs but I have a Sparco Circuit waiting to get mounted before my first race this season.

That is my issue and concern as well. I would be hard pressed to get out through the window as it is. So my plan was a full containment seat with a smaller halo area on the drivers side. My headrest is far back in the space, so this seat (below) only intrudes an inch or two.

Take a look at the Defnder G70 HNR. Claims side impact protection. I have one and am a fan.

People use this argument all the time and IMO its not valid. If you have to first survive the crash before you can worry about getting out.

Egress is a 2nd priority. I'd get the better seat. (I'm getting a halo seat this year finally)
