Default Need help with car classification

Just completed my second SCCA autocross yesterday and had a blast.

My issue now is getting the correct class for my car. When I was in Huntsville they put me in BSP. My first race in Chattanooga it was BSP. Yesterday it was brought to my attention that because of my CF hood and CF wing I should be in an SM class.

Here are my mods:

Comptech CAI
Comptech exhaust
Cusco Srut Tower Bar
Powerslot Slotted/Drilled rotors

OEM style CF hood
Replica Mugen CF wing

If the hood and wing put me in SM I think I will simply switch hoods and remove the wing for track days.

Thanks for any help and advice on this.

The wing is perfectly legal in BSP. The CF hood bumps you into SM2.

Wings can't be added in BSP. You can add a lip spoiler but not a wing.

Thanks for the replies. This confirms the hood issue. I will just swap it out with my OEM one when I track it.

The wing is still in debate. I have had several people say different things. Yes it does put you in SM2 or no they are not allowed. I went and read as much of the rule book I could stomach and it gets into measurements of the wing, height, and some formula to determine if it is ok. Worst case for the wing is that I would just remove it and leave the mounting brackets. Anything wrong with just leaving the mounting brackets on and staying in BSP if questioned about it?

Thanks

I stand corrected. That's what I get for not checking the book myself.

Once the CR comes out, wouldn't you be able to use a replica of that wing under update/back-date for BSP?
