Need help diagnosing brake issue
I need some assistance diagnosing an issue that has recently developed with my brake system. There may be a problem with the install, pads, rotors or it
i can give you insight to the rear pads being mis-aligned.
i drove about 50,000 miles with mis-aligned pads, and aside from pads wearing unevenly (top to bottom) there is no other damage or squealing that i've noticed.
i installed track pads this past weekend aligned properly and they appear to wear evenly.

The next day I noticed that while the brakes were hot and applying a light braking force the pads would squeal really loud. Like really really loud. If I applied a medium or heavy force the pads would not squeal. When the pads are cold (in the morning) I do not hear any squealing.
Also I am noticing that when I am driving slowly (under 30 mph) I can hear the pads lightly chirp. Not a constant squeal, but a light chirp-chirp-chirp that speeds up as the car does.

I run this set up myself. Fist of all, the pads won't really bed in properly without tracking or a *very* hot street run. I followed the instructions to the letter and still had bedding during the end of the first session lapping.
BE SURE that you used pad adhesive or grease on the backing plate. If you didn't or did it poorly, you will get noise.
Any race-oriented pad on sliding calipers is going to chirp or whir when driving. Try turing the wheel slightly in either direction. I bet you can duplicate and increase/decrease the sound. Go back to stock if it bothers you.

For some reason, this was less of an issue with the higher-temp Carbotech pads.
