Default Need to make a decision: Bilsteins or Teins?

I have always had Teins on my Hondas, SS on my 05 Accord, Basics on my 08 Fit, Basics on my 92 Civic HB. I would be going with the Flex's is I go Teins on the S2K. I have heard many good reports on the Bilstein Pss9s and think thats the route I will go. They seem close in price, 1500 or so.

So whats the best? And where should I go to for the best deal. Im usually an eBayer on most this stuff.

I run PSS9s on my daily driver that i also use for time attacks and they are simply put the best single mod to my car.

-amazing quality
-amazing ride
-amazing range of adjustment with only 9 settings
-engineering is stunning

I don't know about the best single mod done to my car, but they are definitely up there.

Also, please take notice that even though the settings on the PSS9s are advertised as 9 settings, they are essentially 3 settings.

Setting 1 = Stiff
Settings 2 - 8 = Medium (with very little difference between them)
Settings 9 = Soft

When I was buying my PSS9s, I did a little bit of research and found a suspension dyno diagram for them and the "medium" setting were grouped very close together. So changes between them will more than likely go unnoticed.

I'd go with the Bilsteins. I mean, they have that whole extra "BILS" going for them.

I think more people need to read CKit's post before responding. Any replies are completely meaningless until "best" is defined. What's best for someone on a tight budget who just uses their car for commuting is wildly different from someone who's got an unlimited budget for frequent rebuilds, but needs to control 1000 lb./in. springs.

This thread belongs in S2000 Talk.

The whole benefit of this forum for me are that the opinions are "track tested."

Having a bunch of well-meaning, but underperforming people giving their half-cocked opinions really dilutes the signal-to-noise ratio.

What's worse is that a new member coming into the forum and trying to get some genuine advice gets confused by the sophomore advice and could wind up wasting time, money, and perhaps their own safety.

And please don't send this to S2000 Talk.

Send it to Modifications and Parts

You really have a serious personal problem and should consider seeking some help.

Comments like these make you judgemental and ignorant.
