I think you will get some better info in the wheel/tire forum so you may want to try there.

I'll let you know in a few weeks. I have this kit laying around.

I will be fitting AP2 wheels and 17x9" +63 Volks with spacers. From what I hear, the clearance is similar to Spoon.

17x9 +63 ce on the front? It won't clear the caliper without a huge spacer which will make it definately not clear the fender. The ce spoke design is not bbk friendly.

This I know. I couldn't get any other offset for the new matte black CE. I have a set of CWest fenders getting painted right now. A Spoon caliper can fit behind a +54 CE28, so we'll see, I have 10mm and 15mm spacers.

That's an understatement. A StopTech caliper makes the Spoon caliper look like the toy that it is.

Time attack black wheels are very cool, but using a 10-15mm spacer will change the handling characteristics of your car.

The Spoon caliper has its benefits:
1) uses stock pads and rotors
2) lighter than stock calipers
3) monoblock design for greater rigidity

It's not a bad choice for many of the NA cars especially with the ease of fitment, but it definately does not have nearly the thermal capacity as a Brembo or Stoptech kit.
With that said, for what you pay for Spoon, there are more capable options assuming you have the wheels to fit them.

There are wheels available that fit the stoptechs with no spacers.
