Default New pads - uneven wear?

Replaced the pads last night, project Mu HC, noticed after bedding that the pads don't appear to be touching 100% of the surface. I know they were very tight getting into the metal shims, possible they are in at the wrong angle slightly?

No pull on braking, and they are quite powerful! Just have a track evening tonight...

Thanks!

Thats completely normal if you put new pads on old rotors since you're pushing a perfectly flat surface (new pads) against a worn, uneven rotor. They will wear down and perfectly match the shape of the rotor after some use

Thought this post didn't go through. Ended up taking the pads out and sanded down the tops and bottoms so they slid in and out of the brackets instead of being wedged in. All good again.

Nice pad for the track, huge amount of dust though!

On the rear they can do something like that if you don't get the pins for the E-brake retractor thing fully aligned in the slot on the pad.

Check to make sure your slide pins move freely and your not useing a thick lubricant. Use a thin silicone grease or honda urea grease it's green and comes in a red and white container. And make sure your pads move freely as well
