New Solo Driver - looking for feedback (Road Atlanta)
Good driving Pimpo, there has been lots of good replies above and you have the right attitude. King Tut and I will be looking for you at the track as we both race with NASA Southeast. I was there at the toy run but our pit was on top of the hill behind tech so we did not get to roam around as much. My car looks a little different than my profile pic now so I will see if I can find a pic on this PC and post it. Be looking for a PM from me soon.

definitely agree with 4th the T6
I like to wait a bit longer before I start to turn in for T12 run out 4th as and shortshift 5th then go foot to the floor
You can definitely carry more speed thru T1, car looks a bit like it doesn't want to turn in, what suspension/springrates do you have? wing angle?
You might prefer a bigger wheel its easier to be smooth at turn in, if you try to pickup corner speed and still keeping it smooth, if the car doesn't want to turn and pushes and you are being smooth look at the spring rates wing and stuff

Wing is at 0 angle, I think the combination of the wing and the staggered setup is affecting turn in a bit at higher speeds.
No Time Trial for me, I race Honda Challenge, my car is red #8 and we were in the Thunder race group. Me and Stephen in the silver S2000 battled the whole time and he managed the win by half a car in Saturday's race.
A lot of good info has already been given here but I'll echo staying in 4th gear at T6. You can carry more speed into that corner as it has a lot of camber. Your setup is definitely not allowing your car to rotate in the high speed sections. A wing on an otherwise stock suspension / tire setup will make the car push. You can minimize this effect in the slower corners by late braking and trailing off the brakes slowly to keep weight on the front tires. That will make the car turn in to the corner but this only really works on slow corners. Fast corners only require a slight brush of the brakes before you should be back to wot.
Do not short shift into 6th on the back straight. Short shifting here will cost you a considerable amount of time as the car already struggles to pick up speed in those gears.
Hands at 3 and 9. Look ahead. Far ahead. Blind corner? Look through the blindness as if you can physically see the track anyway. The further you look ahead, the slower everything appears to happen, the smoother you will drive, the lower your lap times get.
