Default Newbie heading to track.......help!

Just purchased a 2000 s2000 with 37K miles for track days, instruction, autocross (maybe) and possibly some racing down the line. Car is stock. Looking for someone to buy good roll bar or possibly cage from near Pinehurst NC. We have a full fabrication shop but no experience building roll cages/bars so looking for weld or bolt in kit.

Also looking for wheel and tire (brand and size) recommendation with stock suspension.

Have brakes pads and motul fluid on the way.

Ex two wheel racer with no experience on track or autocross at all.

Just have the car, trailer and VIR membership.

Looking for some suggestions. Thanks

Would be a little bit of a trip, but http://www.competitioncages.com/ did mine, it's located in Hillsborough. You going to come out with NASA at all this year? CMP isn't too far from Pinehurst. Also, I'd be willing to sell you some of my parts, Volk rims(crappy tires) or some Amuse exhaust parts if you decide to upgrade.

Great, will give them a call. What size are your rims?

Will check out NASA and CMP will need to get some instruction and start heading toward a racing license ASAP.

You know any good places for the s2000 for performance mods down the line?

Thanks for the info.

sure is thanks........should have looked a little harder. Would have saved me hours of forum searches. Still looks like cage link provided will be very helpful being fairly close by.

Thanks again.

Hard Dog is in Bethania, NC.

I have a Hard Dog roll bar in my S2k. Really happy with it, no fitment problems at all. The major PITA is interior removal, trimming, and refitting.

nice of them to put a picture of my car without asking - not that I care anyways.
