Noise restrictions
Anyone have ballpark numbers on how loud these cars are with a K&N intake? I've got a stock exhaust with a Berk HFC so I'm not worried about that end, but the local track has a 94dB limit.
You're fine with the stock exhaust. Noise is measured about two feet from the tail pipe anyway, far away from the air intake. My Tanabe Medalion is 94dBA measured there. A foot farther and it's less.

That is solely based on distance. How far away is the sound meter? The local track here with sound restriction measures at 50' so I passed with a Greddy SE, Berk 70mm hfc and a J's intake @91.4dB.
K&N intake is louder than most, so it would depend on distance. Stock exhaust definitely helps.

50ft on the outside of a CW track. Sound check requires a WOT pass with monitoring throughout the day.
Talking Arizona Motorsports Park here... which, actually, it looks like the limit was bumped to 96dB which is significant.

I run the K&N intake, plus I have the Trackspec hood vents which really amplifies the noise, stock exhaust, berk test pipe. I was at Palmer Motorsports Park last week and I believe their limit is 96 db and supposedly I didn't come close to it. So I imagine you shouldn't have a problem.

I ran at AMP a few months ago with my Invidia Q300. I did manage to pass sound check but by lap 4 in the first session, I was black flagged for hitting 98 db. I had to drive home to swap back to my stock exhaust and ran without any issues for the other sessions. You should be fine. BTW, they are actually running CCW tomorrow so that should be great fun.
Wished I had Chucks Tanabe.

I removed the "not much louder than stock"
Q300 after less than two weeks it was so loud. The Speed Academy guys in Toronto ran the Tanabe Medalion Turning on their S2000 for a season to comply with noise restrictions on some tracks in the Great White North. It also let them drive the car on the street. I think they trailer the car now.
