We have the whiteline on the 00, not sure if we still have the original 00 oem bar, I would have to check with Clovis.

Comptech non-adjustable is about 50% stiffer than '00-'01 OEM, and about 100% stiffer than '02-'03 OEM. I believe the original Mugen 31.8mm bar was similar.

Something about the endlink spacers deforming, etc.

Looks like the Whiteline would be a good choice. After visiting their website, leaning towards it now. Apparently, up to 50% stiffer than stock (some year).

Anyone know of anything stiffer for approximately 200.00, outside of the Saner?
I'm guessing you want a stiffer front bar to offset the decrease in stagger going from the stock RE050's, which give about 2.4" of stagger to the 615's, which provide only about half that much. If so, I have the same question as you. I guess the question then becomes: how much stiffer does the front sway need to be to compensate for the loss of stagger? 50%? 100%? I'd like to know as well since I want to make the same tire switch. Thanks to anyone who has thoughts on this.

Exactly-very difficult to compare r-comps 245's and 275's with 300% stiffer front sway to 225's and 255's street tires. Mathematicians-have at it!

Obviously, inside rear wheel shouldn't lift on streets. I would just run 215s/255s, but afterall, I got a "gift certificate." Who wouldn't want to spend it?

Like the idea of comptech front, but it appears they are just sold as set. Would have to find used. From what ya'll have said, options are:

Comptech
Mugen
Whiteline

seems all would be at least 50% stiffer than 2004 stock. Probably more like 100%.

So ... if comptech is 50% stiffer than 2000-2001 and 100% stiffer than 2002-2003, it's probably safe to say the 2000-2001 oem is at least 50% stiffer than 2004 oem.

According to TwoHoos' stats, the 00-01 stock front bar is twice as stiff as the 02-03 front bar. I doubt that's really the case though.

^ Not what I said at all. In fact '00-'01 is about 30% stiffer than '02-'03.

Specifically, in terms of equivalent spring rate at the wheel, the bars provide roughly:

'00-'01: 57 lb/in
'02-'03: 43 lb/in
CT non-adj: 84 lb/in

So as I said, CT is ~50% stiffer than '00-'01, and ~100% stiffer than '02-'03.

Alright, this is what I've found so far from previous threads:

'00 - '01
front swaybar diameter 28.2mm
front swaybar wall thickness 5.0mm

rear swaybar diameter 27.2mm
rear swaybar wall thickness 5.3mm

'02 - '03
front swaybar diameter 26.5mm
front swaybar wall thickness 4.5mm

rear swaybar diameter 27.2mm
rear swaybar wall thickness 4.5mm

'04
front swaybar diameter 26.5mm
front swaybar wall thickness ?

rear swaybar diameter 25.4mm
rear swaybar wall thickness ?

Looks as though honda probably used the 02-03 front bar on the 04, so Comptech front bar should be 100% stiffer than 2004 oem.

Whiteline claims 50% stiffer than stock, and I think it was released early on, so I will assume it is 100% stiffer than 2002-2004 oem as well.

Try Gendon solid front sway bar. It is the choice of AS & BS national SCCA autocross winners.

Granted I should take a look under the car before I ask this, but could you buy heim joints and use as adjustable links in the front? If so, has anyone done this?
