Default OCI for 300v

Recently switched to Motul 300v 5-30. This stuff is really expensive.

I'm trying to figure out how many track days are reasonable to run this oil.

I've seen posts from one guy running 300v who ran the oil for 5000 street miles along with a number of track days. Supposedly the oil analysis looked really good afterwards.

I have 4 track days on the 300v currently, and am already wanting to change it. I have no aftermarket cooling and am seeing oil temps up to 290 despite ambient temps below 50.

Does anyone else use the 300v?

I can provide you with my UOAs, but I ran 10k on my last OCI, and plan on doing so again.

So you run 300v in the car every 10k mi INCLUDING trackdays Mike? If so I will be making the switch. What weight are you using?

Good point... it's a really old screen name which referred to a turbo I had many cars ago.

I do. YMMV; I always send mine in for OCI. 5W30. I tried 5W40 with no appreciable benefit.

Approx how much track mileage is out of the 10k (since you street drive a lot too)? And do you keep track of how much oil you have to add during the OCI?

Lately, not that much track driving, so I'd guesstimate 5ish track days worth of driving. I lose a decent amount of oil cuz I don't have a catch can. Depends on the track, but I do keep track of how much oil I add. Reflected on UOAs.
