i just picked up a set of these from a friend on here and am extremely excited to try them out... i have done quite a bit to my car in the short almost 2 years now that i've owned it... i did not have any track or autocross experience before this car and since i started tracking and autocrossing i quickly went to a square wheel/tire setup with just a saner bar with stock shocks and tein springs. i have been on that for 30 or so autocrosses and 10-15 track days now... i finally am upgrading the suspension and excited to play around and learn how the different adjustments can help... any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated with set up and starting points would be greatly appreciated.

There is a guy locally here autocrossing on DFV's with the front 700 lb spring. He often out-pax's our local national trophy winners and national champs, even without any vtec-drop or engine tuning. So throw on 700/600 hypercoils, or move the fronts to the rear and run 700's up front and you'll be happy. These have more potential than people originally bestowed upon them. And some experienced drivers who originally dismissed them are changing their tune. Just don't run them so low that you don't have any rear bump travel. And more compression is more bueno for autocross anyway, so don't be afraid to stiffen them the settings to control the rebound of the stronger springs.

Unless you're increasing spring load considerably or dropping the collar, you won't lose any shock travel by lowering the rear.
