I am having issues with the oil catch can that I installed recently filling up to the rim after 1 session.

I dont think that is normal because that is 0.5L.

How much should I expect it to fill and does anyone have an idea why it is filling so much???

 

Which oil catch can did you install? Did you overfill the last time you did an oil change? How much oil does you dipstick read at after it the catch can fills?

 

I can fill mine during one session at VIR. It seems to be track dependent, some fill more, some less.

 

I got the carbing which holds 0.5 L. The dipstick dropped down half way.

I initially thought I may have overfilled the oil but it still kept doing it.

Filling after one session is quite a bit. There cant be that much oil going thru the intake if you didnt have the oil catch.

 

Its very track dependent. I fill most of mine in one session at BW.

 

This makes me think why even bother with the catch can.

At SOW I never had any blow by and now with the oil catch can I am having close to 0.5L of oil in the can after every 20 min. session.
