Default oil pan decision

Hello everyone, im looking to buy a oil pan for my S. I dont do a lot of track and autocross events a year but I want the added security of a baffled oil pan and I wont do another event til I have one.
These are the 4 options im considering. Ive read quite a few thread and still havent been able to come to a proper conclusion. I want to keep a factory aluminium pan.

Mugen pan
bolt in design?
cost

cons
no warranty

Blacktrax pros
lifetime warranty
track record and reviews
tig welds

cons
price (really not bad)

moroso baffle kit pros
cheap minus the cost of a new pan
trap door
known quality welder doing the welding

cons
with new pan price is a wash
no warranty

spoon sports pro
Outstanding quality
preferred baffle design (radiused edges around pick up)
track record
as of March bolted in like the mugen

cons
price (same as blacktrax)
no warranty

Thank for looking

between my friends we have the spoon, j's and mugen.

The spoon and j's are virtually identical

The mugen is perhaps the most impressive of the oem baffle plate designs because of the way the baffle is secured to the pan. mugen aluminum stand offs to the pan which the baffle then sits on and then secured to the standoffs by vertical bolts.

while I'm not an ME; it would seem this design isolates vertical and lateral loads on the welds; and pretty much all the JDM pans cost the same.

For the oil pan; I'm a staunch supporter of the JDM usual suspects J's; spoon and Mugen. There is no way any of these companies would produce pans without significant confidence in the integrity of their baffle designs. Could you imagine the bad press they would have to endure for a $10 piece of aluminum breaking?

I'm actually planning on getting the moroso trapdoor baffle pan setup soon. I'm confident in the welder and assembly; none of the less I will plan to check it at least 1x a year.

forget the canton pan; it's steel so without a proper gasket; there's no way that thing won't eventually spring a leak; not to mention all the hacks you have to do to make it work!

or you can always tap some extra holes in your stock oil pan; problem solved!

My $40 baffles work just fine. No cracks no issues. Welding them in really isnt as tricky as anyone makes it out to be. Do a proper job of cleaning your old pan, and give it to a aluminum fabricator. should be no more than $75 bucks and some of your time.

Everyone over complicates the hell out of oilpans IMO.

I plan on running the moroso baffle, it seams to be the best designed and cheapest considering I have a spare pan.
