Default PFC big brake kit?

So a while back PFC made (still makes?) a bolt in big brake kit for the s2000. I'm having a hell of a time finding any first hand experience with it. Does anyone have it? Or know of anyone who does?

I imagine the performance is more than adequate, but I'd like to know more about costs, ease of servicing, and fitment?

SpeedFreaks USA is going to be who you want to talk to. I know Matt and Anish are real close with PFC.

his is their link: http://speedfreaksusa.com/i-17352567...8-0049-03.html

Apparently it is also a Ferrari Challenge rear. It has a very interesting way of mounting a floating rotor. As you can see in the picture they have a bracket secured by two bolts to the rotor over a tab in the hat.

For comparison, Girodisc and AP use a sleeve that rides between the tabs in the hat.

Girodisc:

this is my PFC rotor for stock Boxster S front brakes:

one disappointing thing is that thy're heavier than stock rotors as their hat is made of steel - not aluminium as on other 2 piece rotors.

i contacted PFC with a question about this and they emailed me back:
"Many of the smaller disc assemblies are fitted with an iron hat, rather than aluminium. This is because of several blind (threaded) holes."

Many street rotors are coated in areas that don't touch the pad to prevent rust. Is the PFC rotor coated? If not, did you see any rust?

I remember they had a front and rear kit, I want to say maybe $3100 for the front and $2800 for the rear. Nobody I know has ever actually bought. This was ome of their 4 piston monoblock calioers i forget which, and direct drive rotor. I think i asked about them a year or so back, to Hoerr Rqcing Products and they taljed to pfc and said that the kits are no longer made. However, they still make the 300x25 stock replacement rotor.

We are not yet ready to release any official information but if you're truly interested in a PFC BBK for an S2000 I recommend you wait a little longer

We are pushing PFC right now on a couple projects and hope to be able to release some new and exciting products in the coming months. For those of you who haven't seen yet, PFC has been working on a new "V3" design for their hat/rotor assemblies and it is simply brilliant. That design has been finalized and is going into production on all their new products. Check it out:
