Can you please give me some recommendations on which FRONT brakes pads to get? These pads will being going on the stock rotors...since I was told they were still good

I know your recommendations will depend on what type of driving I will be doing so here goes... This is not my DD so I will being doing a lot of spirited driving (tofu runs), and I would like to get into auto x and once I get more confident some roadracing. I should mention that I consider my driving skills high level beginner almost intermindant.

I have done some searching an people seem to recommend Porterfield R4-s the most...BUT these post are almost 4 years old. Do you still recommend this pad? or has something better come out since then for my needs

Finally where can I order the recommended pads too?

Thank you

Were you fading the OEMs? If not, get more of them.

Stock. Overheating your stock pads is a sure sign that you are driving too aggressively on your tofu delivery route. Should be fine for autocross too.

Stock pads are fine for spirited street driving and even for autoX. When I started tracking my S with OEM tires, I upgraded the brake pads to Hawk Blues. I liked their initial bite. When I started using R comps, I upgraded the pads to Carbotech XP10's and XP8's. Although the XPs are good, their initial bite isn't as good as the Hawks Blues.

so you want to get more confidence by driving on public roads before you move onto auto-xing? say it isn't so...

Well its hard to only wait for auto-x events, to drive spiritly.

All roads are safe as long as you don't drive like an dummy imo

Whatever. Your question has been answered. A discussion on "driving spiritedly" is probably pointless for all involved.

To achieve the maximum possible speed and then apply maximum braking as late as possible for every turn, on a public road, continuously, is driving like a dummy.

No way you need anything more than the stock pads.
