pole position install/compatibility question

pole position install/compatibility question
I have an opportunity to buy a used Recaro Pole position with factory side mounts. I understand that the factory side mounts do NOT match up with the AP1. Is this correct? Don't have time to research, as seller is eager. Thanks!
