Default portable charger air compressor

I'm tired of the cheapo $10 tire inflator either overheat or blowing out the cig socket fuse.

Does anyone recommend a particular brand or model of portable jump starter/charger/air compressor?

Thanks & happy Thanksgiving

Ive been through a few of these but the one I liked most was a sears die-hard charger/compressor. Kept forgetting to keep it charged between track days though so I finally dumped it for a tiny harbor freight 12v inflater and ive been happy since. If you want the former though the die hard worked great for me.

There are some which come with battery clips rather than cigarette connectors:

MV50 SuperFlow

Unless you have a truck which will typically have higher amperage support on the cigarette lighter, you'll likely overrun any car's cigarette lighter with the useful portable air compressors.

I wish DeWalt would make a 20V cordless compressor for the track.

A radar gun.

An impact gun for lug nuts. (this they make)

A flashlight. (this they make)

Infrared thermometer. (this they make too)

Call it a track pack.

Anyway, Craftsman makes one:

Wow I didn't know anybody made a 20v cordless compressor like that! I have a Craftsman C3 impact wrench and am very happy with it. Just ordered the compressor. $40 if you already have compatible battery and charger.

Yeah, I thought it looked kinda cheesy in pics and I've never held one in my hand.

I have TONS of 12V and 20V DeWalt stuff and I know their quality pieces, that's why I wish DeWalt made a cordless compressor.

How cool would a 20V cordless radar gun be for the track?

What do you need a radar gun for?

You can buy a 12V cord that has battery clips on one end and a lighter socket on the other, and use that to connect your air compressor directly.
