Default question on slicks

i have a chance to get a good deal on slicks but all fours are 245/45/16's. Would it be fine to use this size on all 4 corners?

Your tire guy will hate you if you force him to stuff a 245 on a 6.5" rim. Btw, do you know the difference between a slick and a DOT-R?

It can be done, but will require a very stiff bar and fast reflexes. I wouldn't recommend it if it's your first foray into DOT-R tires.

What brand slicks are you getting in 16"? And I have never seen a true slick use those sizing numbers, are you sure its not just a DOT tire?

You'll be fine. That's the beauty of a car with 50/50 weight distribution.

Can you explain what weight distribution has to do with tire stagger?

Weight distribution by itself is meaningless until you consider relative roll stiffness. The combination is what determines weight (force) on the tire, and the amount of rubber needed to counteract that force.

If by fine you mean butting into immovable objects backwards, then yes, I agree completely.

WOW! I hope that none of the advice I give on this forum will possibly get someone KILLED like this last bit of advice (the 50/50 thing) just might.
