I'm pretty sure it's made by MoMo.....It's the same elliptical engagement system. The MoMo one is also SFI approved.

I also use MoMos collapsible hub to help reduce impact forces.

from these videos on youtube, it looks like the ball type release pretty quick. i don't see them pushing any small button to release.

the collapsible hub would probably be useful for on street with a 3-point seat belt but on track with a 5-point harness and HANS, i don't think you'll be hitting the steering wheel.

also, i don't want the steering wheel closer to me with the longer hub because i'm already too close.

 

Ive used the omp and momo oval type releases and they are very good as well though not the same as the Porsche qd.
The Porsche one is hard to get unfortunately.

 

I have one of those Snap Off QRs on my 993. No play and really easy to pull off the wheel.

Rick's price is about the same as what I got it for.

 

My mistake, I thought that was the one with the button that you gotta push to release it. I might be thinking of the newer one they have available.

 

Works Bell Quick Release gets our vote... Comparing the NRG and Works Bell, the Works Bell has much higher build quality and tolerances.

 

the older version of the NRG , V1 and V2 i think you have to push the little button but for the V2.5 and V3 you don't have to push the button.

 

Do any of you guys DD your cars with a quick release?

If you have a racing seat/harness with a wheel and a roll bar is it safe on the street?
